Psychotherapist in training

What to expect
Talking therapy offers a dedicated space and time to process your feelings and experiences.

I have experience working with adults facing a range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, loss, life transition, and low self-esteem.

Our sessions will offer you a regular, open and confidential place for us to explore whatever you may be going through.
The essentials
I am a trainee psychotherapist working in The Practice Rooms Islington, London.

Our first session will offer us a chance to meet and decide if we wish to work together.

I offer 50-minute, weekly, in-person sessions. My fee is £35 per week, payable weekly in advance. I charge for missed sessions, except for sessions where I am away or unable to attend.

I currently only offer in-person sessions.

About me
I'm Katy, a trainee psychotherapist based in North London.
My therapeutic approach is humanistic integrative. This means I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship we build together as we explore both your past experiences and the present moment. I seek to offer a warm, accepting, supportive space for you.

I am registered as a trainee under my full name Katherine Murray with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am in my third year of training at BCPC for a Masters in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, and have previously worked as a volunteer counsellor for Mind.

Where we'll meet
I am based at The Practice Rooms on Caledonian Road, London.
The rooms are bright and airy, and designed for one-to-one talking therapy. We'll meet there each week to discuss whatever feels important to you.
I regret that this building is not wheelchair accessible. It can only be accessed by the front stoop. If you would like to meet in a room with minimal stair access, or require any other adjustments, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
